What is Vpin?

Vpin is an AI-powered video knowledge library platform. Bring any video worth learning from — currently from seven major platforms — and drop the link into your cloud-based My Space. Vpin's AI Tags automatically sort and organize it for you.

For long-form YouTube content especially — online courses, podcast interviews, in-depth reports, and more — Vpin's AI Summary feature turns rich content into a structured, searchable knowledge summary with a chaptered highlight outline.

This new way of organizing video doesn't just help you grasp the key points fast — it builds a precise index you can jump back into whenever you need to revisit a specific moment, making video knowledge genuinely easy to understand, find, and use. As your library of saved videos grows, this cumulative Knowledge Library keeps growing right alongside you — always searchable, always ready to revisit.

What does the name "Vpin" mean? What is the tagline?

"Vpin" combines "Video" and "Pin" — the idea of pinning and preserving the most valuable moments from video content. Tagline: Enjoy the watch and listening — AI will do the organizing.

What platforms is Vpin available on?

Vpin is available on: · Web — Vpin.club · iOS — iPhone & iPad · Android — Google Play

Note: The AI Highlighter feature currently prioritizes YouTube as the supported source. Vpin.club also supports: TikTok, Twitch, Vimeo, Dailymotion, Instagram, and X. Visit Vpin.club for the latest updates on supported platforms.

Is there a cost to use Vpin?

A lot of what's on Vpin is content shared publicly by our users, and it's open for any visitor to read and watch for free.

If you want to start saving videos and building your own private Knowledge Library, creating an account is free too — and comes with free trial V-coins, so you can get comfortable with the paid AI features before spending anything.

How do I sign up for Vpin?

Vpin offers four sign-up options: · Apple ID (Sign in with Apple) · Google account · LINE account · Email (manual input)

All four methods create the same type of account with equal access. Choose whichever is most convenient for you.

What can I do without an account? What requires registration?

Without an account, you can: · Browse the Lobby and explore public content · Watch and listen to videos on Vpin · Read AI-generated highlights and summaries (where publicly visible)

With a registered account, you additionally get: · Like, save, and follow creators · Access your personal My Space (your Knowledge Library) · Use V-coin-powered AI features (AI Summary, tagging, folders, transcription) · Receive starter trial V-coins on signup

In short — browse freely, register to build your Knowledge Library.

What value does Vpin give me, and what problems does it solve?

In a world that moves fast and floods you with information, Vpin turns the spare minutes you spend scrolling videos into something that actually compounds — an AI-powered knowledge companion that helps you get smarter, build knowledge, and find direction, together.

Vpin was built to solve four core problems that plague video-based learning:

1. Video-watching time is scattered and fragmented — commutes, waiting in line, right before bed: these small moments add up to real viewing time, but rarely leave you with anything organized to show for it. Vpin fits one intuitive curation step — share or paste a link — right into that fragmented moment, feeding it seamlessly into an AI-assisted cloud process, so even a casual watch becomes part of your knowledge library.

2. Long videos are hard to absorb — YouTube content is rich but time-consuming. Most people can't watch a 90-minute video and retain the key insights.

3. The "Watch Later" graveyard — Videos pile up in queues and playlists, never actually watched or revisited.

4. AI hallucinations in generic summarizers — Most AI summarization tools miss technical nuances or generate inaccurate information, especially for expert-level content.

Vpin's design follows a set of principles we call SEEC — see "What is the SEEC framework?" below for more.

What is the Knowledge Library built on videos?

The Knowledge Library built on videos is your personal, cumulative archive of video knowledge inside Vpin. Every time you process a new video, its key highlights, chapters, and summaries are added to your Library. Over time, your Library grows into a searchable second brain — organized by topics, creators, and highlighted moments — so knowledge actually accumulates instead of being forgotten.

What is the SEEC framework?

SEEC is Vpin's core product philosophy, describing the four qualities that define how Vpin handles knowledge: · Specific: Every knowledge unit is precise and targeted — not vague summaries. · Explainable: Highlights are verifiable and traceable back to the original source, with creator validation. · Expandable: Your knowledge library grows and connects over time as you add more videos. · Cumulatable: Knowledge stacks up — each video builds on what you already know, creating compounding value.

Does Vpin sync across multiple devices?

Yes, it does. Your Knowledge Library syncs across all your devices. Process a video on your phone during your commute and access the highlights later on your desktop — your library follows you everywhere.

Creating a Vpin

What video sources does Vpin support?

The AI Highlighter feature currently prioritizes YouTube as the supported source. Vpin.club also supports: TikTok, Twitch, Vimeo, Dailymotion, Instagram, and X. Visit Vpin.club for the latest updates on supported platforms.

How do I add a video to Vpin?

There are two ways to add a video:

1. Share sheet (iOS & Android app only) — while watching a YouTube video, tap "Share" and select Vpin. The video is sent to Vpin instantly for cloud processing.

2. Paste URL (all platforms) — go to Vpin.club/create in any browser, paste the video URL, and Vpin will process it for you.

What does Vpin's AI actually do to a video?

After you add a video, a single tap on AI Summary triggers Vpin's AI to: 1. Generate chapters — breaking the video into logical segments with titles. 2. Extract highlights — identifying the key moments and ideas worth remembering. 3. Create a summary — a concise overview of the video's core content. 4. Apply tags — categorizing the content for organization and discovery.

All four come out of that one click, and all processing happens in the cloud — no battery drain on your device.

The AI processing progress bar seems stuck. What should I do?

AI analysis takes a little time — usually between 30 seconds and 2 minutes depending on the video length. If it's been more than 5 minutes without completing, try refreshing the page. If the issue persists, please contact support and provide the video URL so we can investigate.

How long does it take for AI Summary: Chapters to generate?

Processing time depends on the video length, but it typically takes just a few minutes. You'll receive a notification when it's done. You can also check the progress under "AI Processing Status" at any time.

Can I regenerate the AI Summary?

Yes. Open the Vpin editor, scroll to the player, and tap the "Regenerate AI Summary" button. Please note that regenerating the AI analysis will consume additional V-coins.

Do I need to log in to create a Vpin?

We offer a limited guest experience — you can paste a video URL and try it out without logging in. You can also click the Demo button at the bottom of the page to see the full feature set in action. However, to save your Vpins, like content, or follow creators, you'll need to sign in or create an account.

Can Vpin process a video in one language and output in another?

Yes — this is one of Vpin's patented capabilities. You can collect first-hand knowledge from YouTube videos in any original language, and have Vpin's AI process and output the highlights, chapters, and summary in your preferred language. Output language can be set to any of Vpin's supported languages in the AI Summary: Summary settings. This removes language as a barrier to knowledge — you collect freely, Vpin translates the understanding. This multilingual AI processing capability is protected by Vpin's granted US patent (US 18/924,889 — "Method for Video Searching").

Can I listen to a video while reading the highlights in Vpin?

Yes. Rather than hiding the video entirely, Vpin minimizes the player to a small, low-power footprint so it keeps playing without obstructing the highlights, chapters, and navigation controls you're reading alongside it. Smart chapter-jumping lets you skip to the most relevant sections automatically, so you never have to scrub through a long timeline. The underlying video search and navigation technology is protected by Vpin's granted US patent (US 18/924,889 — "Method for Video Searching").

What types of videos work best with Vpin AI Summary?

Vpin works well across video lengths, but delivers value differently: · Long-form content (10+ minutes) — where Vpin shines most. Educational videos, expert interviews, documentary-style content, tech talks, finance discussions, history deep-dives, health & science, and podcast-style conversations all benefit fully from AI Summary: Chapters, highlights, and summaries. · Short-form content — equally valid. Vpin's tagging system means related short videos on the same topic can dynamically congregate through shared tags — building a knowledge cluster from many short pieces that together cover a subject comprehensively. In both cases, every video contributes to your searchable Knowledge Library.

My Space

Where does Vpin keep my Vpin?

Every registered account has its own My Space — that's where Vpin keeps everything you've curated, whether it's a video you collected from the web or another user's published Vpin that you've saved.

How do I save a Vpin to my library?

On any Vpin playback page or search result in the Lobby, tap the star icon to save it directly to My Space. You can find all your saved Vpins under the "Saved" tab in My Space.

How do I delete a Vpin?

In My Space, find the Vpin you want to remove, tap the "⋯" button on the right, and select "Delete." Please note that deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.

How do I adjust my Vpin privacy settings?

To protect your privacy, everything on Vpin defaults to Private — only you, once signed in, can view or edit content inside your own My Space.

If you want to publish or share something publicly, open the Vpin editor and scroll to the bottom to switch that Vpin between Private and Public. You can also do this from My Space using single-select or multi-select mode.

How do I perform actions on multiple Vpins at once?

In My Space, tap "Select" in the top-right corner of the screen. You can then select multiple Vpins and perform bulk actions including delete, change language, add tags, add to a playlist or folder, publish, or set to private.

Why do some Vpins show "🌐中" or "🌐EN"?

Vpin uses your browser's language setting as the default. Vpins created in an English browser environment will show "🌐EN," while those created in a Chinese environment will show "🌐中." Note that content created in one language setting won't be visible when you're browsing in another language.

How do I create a folder?

In My Space, switch to the "Folders" tab and tap "New Folder" in the top-left corner. Enter a name and your folder will be created instantly.

What's the difference between a playlist and a folder?

Folders are for organizing your Vpins by topic or source — think of them like categories. Playlists are for setting a playback order so you can watch multiple Vpins in sequence.

What is the AI Merge Folders feature?

Inside My Space, open any folder and look for the "AI Organize" button. This feature automatically merges folders with similar names, making it easy to keep your library tidy.

What is the One-Page Summary feature?

One-Page Summary lets you combine the highlights from multiple Vpins into a single unified note. It's a great way to consolidate key takeaways from several videos on the same topic without having to open each one individually.

How do I block another user?

Tap the "..." icon next to the user's avatar and select "Block." If you've experienced harassment or inappropriate behavior online, please reach out to our support team.

The Lobby

Some Vpins show "Click to view video chapters" below the title. What does that mean?

Clicking on a chapter title will jump the video directly to that timestamp, so you can watch exactly the section you're interested in.

What is the Verified Knowledge Library (blue checkmark)?

The Verified Knowledge Library (blue checkmark) is a space built through formal collaboration between Vpin and our creator partners.

Every AI Summary and highlight in the Verified Knowledge Library has been reviewed and corrected by the original creator, so the content you see faithfully reflects what the creator actually meant — held to a higher standard of accuracy.

How do I search on Vpin?

Type any keyword into the search bar in the Lobby. You can also search by tag — just type # followed by a tag name (e.g., "#finance") to find all Vpins with that tag.

How do I follow a creator?

Visit the creator's profile page and tap the "Follow" button. Once you follow them, their latest Vpins will appear in your My Space feed.

What is Premium and how is it different from a free account?

Premium is Vpin's paid membership tier. Subscribers get full access to all creator-verified AI knowledge content. Here's how free and Premium compare: · Highlights & Summaries — free users are limited to non-Premium content; Premium members unlock the full library. · Knowledge Organization — free users get Vpin's patented AI analysis; Premium members also get creator review. · Full-Library Search — free users see only titles for Premium content; Premium members get full-text search across the entire library. · Personal Collections — free users are limited to non-Premium content; Premium members unlock full access.

What is a Showcase?

A Showcase is a curated collection of videos and verified highlights published by a creator in the Lobby. Creators build Showcases around a theme, topic, or series — giving their audience a structured, navigable knowledge resource that extends beyond any single video. For users, Showcases are a trusted starting point for learning about a new subject.

How is content ranked in the Lobby?

Lobby content is sorted by recency, with Premium creators' content given priority placement. You can also use search or tag filters to find content that matches your interests.

V-coin & Pricing

What are V-coins?

V-coins are Vpin's dedicated points currency. You use them to access paid AI features on Vpin — such as AI Summary analysis, AI-recommended tags and folders, and Whisper transcription. V-coins are deducted from your account balance based on how much you actually use each feature. The system is designed around three principles: pay only for what you use, ensure fair resource allocation during peak demand, and reward active community contributors with ways to earn coins back.

How do I top up my V-coins?

Go to "My Account" → "Buy Points," choose a V-coin package, and complete the payment. Your points will be credited to your account automatically.

Buy Points

How many V-coins does each AI feature cost?

Here is the current service pricing table: · AI Tag Recommendation: 1 coin per use · AI Folder Recommendation: 8 coins per use · AI Merge Folders: 8 coins per use · AI Summary Analysis: 20 coins for the first 10 minutes; 2 coins per minute after that · Whisper Transcription: 10 coins per minute

Example: A 25-minute video processed with AI Summary analysis costs 20 coins (first 10 min) + 30 coins (15 remaining min × 2) = 50 coins total. Visit the "Buy Points" page for the latest pricing.

Where can I check my V-coin balance?

After logging in, go to the sidebar and navigate to "My Account" → "Points Overview" to see your current balance.

View Balance

Do V-coins expire?

Yes. During the current Early Bird period, purchased V-coins are valid for 6 months from the date of purchase. There is one important rule that works in your favour: every time you make a new purchase, the expiry date of all your existing coins is automatically extended to 6 months from the new purchase date. This means all your coins always share the same expiry date — so you never lose coins from earlier purchases as long as you remain active. Example: You have 500 coins expiring on July 5. On December 3 you buy 200 more coins. All 700 coins are now extended to expire at the end of December.

My payment failed. What should I do?

First, double-check that your card details are correct, that you have sufficient funds, and that online transactions are enabled for your card. If everything looks correct and the payment still fails, please contact our support team with the time of the attempted payment and we'll look into it right away.

What are Mission Rewards? How do I earn free V-coins?

Mission Rewards let you earn free V-coins by completing in-app tasks. Head to "My Account" → "Mission Rewards" to see the current list of available missions. Points are credited automatically once you complete a mission.

What happens to my trial V-coins when the paid system launches?

Trial V-coins issued at registration will expire automatically when the full paid V-coin system launches. However, Vpin will introduce a task system at that time, giving you ongoing ways to earn free V-coins through community participation and in-app contributions — so you'll always have a way to use AI features without paying.

Premium Membership

What is Vpin Premium?

Vpin Premium is a membership tier that unlocks full access to the creator-verified knowledge library. While free users can browse and access non-Premium content, Premium members get unrestricted access to all creator-verified highlights, full-text search across the entire library, and creator-reviewed knowledge organization. Think of it this way: V-coins pay for AI processing on your own videos; Premium membership pays for access to content that creators have already verified and published for their audience.

How is Vpin Premium different from just using the free AI features?

They solve different problems and are not substitutes for each other: · V-coins + free features — for processing and organizing your own videos with AI. You bring a YouTube URL, Vpin's AI analyzes it for you. · Vpin Premium — for accessing creator-published content that has been reviewed and verified by the original creator. This is about consuming knowledge that others have curated and certified, not processing your own. Many users will use both: Premium for accessing a creator's verified knowledge library, and V-coins for AI-processing their own video discoveries.

What is Vpin Premium's core value proposition?

Vpin Premium's positioning is: "a creator-certified video knowledge library." The three core benefits are: · Unlock highlights & summaries · Full-library search · Eliminate AI hallucinations — via creator verification

Team Accounts

How do I create a team account?

In the sidebar, click on your personal account to expand it, then select "Add Team Account." Your team account will be created right away.

What's the difference between a team account and a personal account?

A team account is a collaborative workspace where multiple members can create and edit Vpins together, share a pool of team V-coins, and operate under role-based permissions (Viewer, Editor, Manager, and Owner). A personal account is a single-user space for building your own private Knowledge Library.

Does creating a team account cost anything?

Creating a team account is completely free.

How do I invite members to my team?

Inside your team space, tap the "Member Management" button. You'll find an invitation option in the top-right corner to add new members.

How do I remove a team member?

In "Member Management," find the member you'd like to remove, tap the action menu next to their role, and select the trash icon. Keep in mind that you can only remove members with a lower role than yours — for example, only an Owner can remove a Manager.

How do I change a member's role?

In "Member Management," find the member, tap their current role, and select a new role from the dropdown menu. You can only assign roles lower than your own, and you can only change members with roles below yours.

What does "role operation restriction" mean?

Vpin uses a hierarchical role system — you can only take action on members with a lower role than your own. For example, a Manager can add or remove Editors and Viewers, but cannot modify other Managers or the Owner. This prevents unauthorized changes to higher-level roles.

Why can't I remove a certain member's role?

This usually happens because the member has the same role as you or a higher one. In Vpin's role hierarchy, you can only manage members with a lower role than your own. If you need to remove someone at the same or higher level, please ask the team Owner to handle it.

What's the difference between team V-coins and personal V-coins?

Personal V-coins can only be used by the account holder. Team V-coins are a shared pool — any member with the Editor role or above can use them to create Vpins and access AI features. Team V-coins are purchased and managed centrally by Managers or the Owner.

How do I purchase team V-coins?

In the team space sidebar, expand the "Team Account" dropdown and select "Buy Points" to purchase team V-coins.

What is a Team Showcase?

A Team Showcase is a publicly visible collection of your team's curated Vpins, displayed in the Lobby for anyone to explore. It can be managed by a Manager or the Owner from within the team space.
